“Azerbaijan is UN’s reliable partner,” said Mogens Lykketoft, president of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly as he met Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev.
The minister informed Lykketoft about the high level of relations between the country and the UN. Mr. Garayev highlighted the seventh Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations held in Baku.
The minister also informed Lykketoft about the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and its consequences, about the living conditions of IDPs and refugees, non-fulfillment of four resolutions, adopted by the UN Security Council on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mr. Garayev invited Lykketoft to take part in the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, which will be held in Azerbaijan’s capital in 2017.
